Day 218: Singapore

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on May - 25 - 2011

I like my hostel in Little India. 15 Singapore dollars per night and there is free WiFi, air condition and tea/coffee. Why is it that in the more expensive hostels you usually have to pay for wifi when it is always free in the cheap places? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

After a walk around my neighborhood I was going to meet with Guy and Freddie from abikejourney.com – a German/Australian couple who has also cycled from Europe, always slightly ahead of me.

We had dinner in one of the food courts where you can choose food from a large number of vendors. I was trying what they call “carrot cake” – an interesting name since I didn’t taste any carrots and it certainly wasn’t a cake. Tomorrow Guy and Freddie will be flying to Darwin and start cycling south towards Melbourne.

Nice to meet you and good luck down under!
