Day 852: Omarama

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Feb - 05 - 2013

After the rest day without rest yesterday I decided to stay in Omarama for the day. I had pitched my tent at a free camp site site 3 km outside of town. In the morning I simply left my tent there, cycled into town, and sneaked into a 5 star campsite. I could now enjoy their TV lounge, take a shower, and use the nice kitchen facilities the whole day :-)

At the camp site I met a Danish couple who were touring around New Zealand in their camper van. The guy had been working for two years in Australia when he was young in the 60′s. I guess the working holiday visa is not a new thing?

In the evening I went back to own camp site and enjoyed another night of of free sleep.
