Ramu from yesterday’s dinner had offered a sight seeing tour around Vizag. The city is located next to the Bay of Bengal. Last time I saw the ocean was when I left Gokarna almost 4 weeks ago. It feels good to have crossed India coast to coast. Now just 900 km to go until Calcutta.
After saying goodbye to Ramu and the rest of the radio guys I spent the day planning for part of the trip that comes after India. The tricky thing is that it is not possible to cycle into Myanmar. You can get a visa but only enter via the airport in the capital Yangon. I think I will simply take a flight to Thailand from either India or Bangladesh and skip Myanmar altogether.
Probably the safer thing to do… 🙂
