Day 153: Bhubaneswar – Bhadrak

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Mar - 11 - 2011

Distance: 123.27 km
Ridetime: 04:49:34
Average: 25.5 km/h
Total distance: 6835km

Normally I’m travelling on a very loose schedule – if I feel like staying a day more in a place I just do it. However, with a flight ticket out of Calcutta in a few days and still 400 km to cover there is not much of choice but cycling.

With the help of a nice road and a bit of a tail wind, today’s 120 km almost felt like flying.

In Bhadrak I found a nice, spacious, and clean room for 200 rupees. This only happens in small towns. In bigger cities you can find a room for the same price, but it will be more like a prison cell.

After a walk in the streets and some spicy Indian food I went to bed early. Tomorrow the road is calling again.
