Day 193: Krabi

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Apr - 26 - 2011

With the Thai visa is once again expiring, it was time to hop on a long boat and head back to the main land.

If you arrive randomly in Thailand on the 13th of April you would be surprised. This day is Songkran or Thai New Year and probably best described as the biggest water fight on the planet. All over Thailand the day is celebrated by throwing water at each other. No one is safe! Walking the short distance from the bus stop to the hostel I got soaked as well.

Down in the streets the water fight scenes continued throughout the day. The only thing that seemed to be able to make it stop was a major rain shower. I guess having a water fight in heavy rain doesn’t make much sense.

And a little something for the boys.
