While my half broken tire held up yesterday, I decided to take a bus into Jakarta today. Regardless of the tire, I did not have a big desire to ride 6 hours in the heavy pollution from the traffic.

The bus ride ended 20 km south of the city center, so I still got the chance to experience how it is to cycle in Jakarta. Not too bad actually. When I was about 500 m away from the backpacker area with cheap hotels my tire finally gave up. Perfect timing! It should be no problem to find spare parts in Jakarta.
