Day 1815 – 1857: Denmark Time Out

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Dec - 30 - 2015

After roaming around the world for so long, it’s not at all a bad thing to be back home for a break with the family. Automn in Denmark is beautiful.

This cute little boy, my nephew Calle, was born when I was climbing mountains in Peru. Uncle Tom was very happy to catch up 🙂

Denmark might not have mountains like South America or cities like New York, but what we have is history; This castle at Kalø Vig was built in 1313 by a local king.

Back in the land of the bicycles…

This was the last day of autumn at these northern latitutes. A long winter is just about to kick in.

One Response so far.

  1. It’s always nice having downtime back at home spending time with family. I’m wondering if your nephew is going to follow you in your footsteps. 🙂

I must say, though, that I love the 9th photo (the first of the ruins). Looks like an elephant’s head. 🙂
