Day 1858: RIP Mom

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Dec - 30 - 2015

It is now almost two months since my mom left this World on a journey that is far bigger than this little bike trip of mine that I pretend is a big deal.

Boy we will miss you – the the fact that I would call you from somewhere and you would respond “I was just thinking about you, and I was expecting your call”. I will miss all the likes on my very post here on Facebook, and lately when things became harder, I will miss that you would hold on just a little longer when I gave you a hug – amazing how much 1/10 of a second can mean.

It’s hard to loose your number one fan, but since you did such a good job being a mom, I will be OK. I’m forever grateful that I could be there at the very end.

If you read this and you are lucky enough to still have your mom in this world, don’t forget to appreciate it!

RIP Mom

  1. I still have my mother around, which I’m thankful for. She’s thinking I’m a little nuts that I’m going to be doing a rtw bicycle trip myself. But, I dare say, when the time comes, she will be just as supportive.

  2. Tyler from Chicago says:

So sorry about your loss Thomas

  3. Sammy says:

    Hope she reaches heaven
