Day 1859 – 1918: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2016!

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Jan - 03 - 2016

I have been lucky enough to celebrate Christmas in Egypt, Australia, Argentina and Colombia… This year, however, I felt even more grateful to celebrate with this little superman back home in Copenhagen. The very best Christmas greetings to everyone around the world!

Life must go on, as they say, and after spending a couple of months in Denmark I decided to was time for adventure again. Looking at the map, the only place I havn’t really been cycling is Africa, and so I put together a new plan.

It was easy enough to draw the map… I have a feeling that turning it into reality will be a proper adventure – and one I’m looking very much forward to! Ready for the 6th and final continent by bike.

I was supposed to arrive in Cape Town on the 31st of December, but ended up in a big mess of cancellations and delays spending 3 days in airports and airport hotels. At least the airlines put you in nice places – I guess the hotels I will end up in in rural Africa will be a little different.

I would have preferred to celebrate New Year with friends in Cape Town, but instead I get to enjoy the fireworks from 30000 feet over Northern Germany. Hard to capture on camera – quite a magic sight in real life!

Oh well, the very best wishes for the coming year – may it be filled with Love, Happiness and Adventure. See you from Africa!!
