Day 10: Nowa Sol – Wroclaw

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Oct - 12 - 2010

Distance: 131.9 km
Ridetime: 6:51:15
Average: 19.0 km/h
Total distance: 869 km

It was indeed another very cold morning. This time several degrees below freezing. Again I was a little surprised I had actually felt so warm at night. Having a good sleeping bag and a good tent certainly pays.

It only took a couple of hours for the temperature to rise to some very nice levels. I even saw people walking around in shorts.

I had opted for some rather small roads going into Wroclaw so I was a bit annoyed to meet a lot of big trucks there. One of them was overtaking me at full speed when only seconds later a police car pulled out of the side of the road and stopped him. Busted!

Through couchsurfing I had arranged to meet with Iwona and Tomek in the evening. I managed to find their very nice apartment in the center of Wroclaw and we had some great hours of talking. Thanks for the Pivo, Tomek!

Come one Thomas! You are creating a true army of followers… don´t discard that at somepoint you look back and see a long queu of cyclists pedalling behind you (remember Forrest Gump?).

In a very relaxed and comfortable wayy,we are all already pedalling with you (easy to say from the coach right?).

Pas paa dig selv og skriv snart!
