Day 62: Antalya – Side

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Dec - 05 - 2010

Distance: 79.73 km
Ridetime: 3:16:32
Average: 24.4 km/h
Total distance: 3352 km

My bus arrived in Antalya at 6:30 in the morning and soon I was cycling through the city as the sun was rising.

At half past ten I had already reached Side after 80 km of flat roads. How much I would be able to do if I managed to be cycling by 6:30 every morning!

Side is a popular package tour destination. Some signs where even written in Scandinavian languages. Quite a contrast to the places I usually end up.

The good thing about being in a tourist spot in low season is the surplus of hotel rooms. I found myself a nice one with sea view for a very fair price. While the rest of Europe seems to be occupied by the snow masses I enjoyed an icecream and the sunset on my balcony. Life at the Mediterranean is good!

Nu er det din tur til at nyde det gode vejr imens vi andre kæmper med vintervejret. Anderledes var det, da du var på Færøerne.
