Long days such as today get even harder when you start late. I didn’t manage to leave Gokarna before 11 o’clock meaning I was riding the whole 140 km with only very short breaks in order to make it to Kundapur before sunset. Sunset in India is luckily around 6 o’clock these days – no more early 4 o’clock sunsets like back in Syria.
In Kundapur I met Nagi, a friend of a friend who helped me to locate a nice hotel for the night. Nagi lives in Udupi, another town 30 km down the road from here. I’m invited for lunch there tomorrow.
