Day 190: Railay

After the off-day yesterday I was back in adventure mode this morning. While Krabi town is a friendly place with good food and night life, the real beauty of the region lies in the many beaches and islands around.

I was able to leave the bicycle at the hostel and take a long boat out to Railay beach – a place that resembles every dream of a tropical paradise you might have. The place is stunningly beautiful. Now, beauty is not everything, but…

On the beach there are huts for rent, like similar places I have stayed in Egypt and Goa. At the beach restaurant next to the huts you are sure to meet your fellow travellers. As the sun was setting someone found a guitar. Life is good at Railay beach!

    While your in Thailand you should try a test dive. Most diving schools are willing to give you one, just to see if you like it. It shouldn’t be to expensive down there.
