The first project of the day was to find a post office to ship home some of the wonderful gifts I got yesterday. As I will soon be cycling in a very hilly terrain on Sumatra in Indonesia every gram counts!
After a cup of tea with some of my friends from yesterday it was time for some sight seeing in Melaka.
Melaka is beautiful in the night as well.
The day ended with a very delicious seafood dinner in a small village out of town. During the dinner tomorrow’s route was discussed. I tried to get the point across that, while it had been a once in a lifetime experience to cycle with the police escort yesterday, it was actually more in line with my kind of trip to be cycling alone. I’m not sure I succeeded. We will see what happens tomorrow.
