Day 113: Mangalore

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Jan - 29 - 2011

I needed an extra cup of coffee in the morning to wake up after the King Fisher beers yesterday night. And I actually needed to be awake since I would have a journalist from The Times of India stopping by my hotel room before lunch. Yeah, this celebrity life is very hard! I ended up having a nice chat with the journalist. Looking forward to see what comes out of it.

In the afternoon the local radio community of Mangalore were once again meeting. This time we were heading into the deep country side about 60 km from the city where one of the guys has a plantation. The farm is really located in the middle of nowhere.

As I’m spending most of my time in cities or on roads, the quietness of the place was really a contrast. Going for a walk through the jungle was an interesting experience. The guys were joking we might run into a tiger or a crocodile.

Another fantastic day with some fantastic people in Mangalore.
