Day 155: Baleswar – Kharagpur

Posted by Thomas Andersen Posted on Mar - 11 - 2011

Distance: 124.23 km
Ridetime: 06:32:41
Average: 19.0 km/h
Total distance: 7028 km

After two days of tailwind the direction had unexpectedly changed overnight. From the morning it was clear that I would be fighting a strong headwind. If I’m mentally prepared for a hard day, for example a mountain pass on the route, I really enjoy it. When the challenges come when you are unprepared they are much harder to deal with. In more than one occasion I was swearing loudly at the wind.

Passing the 7000 km mark was a small encouragement.

Tomorrow I will reach Calcutta – the final destination in India after more than 1½ month and 2500 km in this fantastic country.
